Data and Instructions for completing the New York State Annual Report.

Collections

This section reports on your library's collection.

Items are broken down by Item Category 1.  They need to be arranged into the state's categories for the report.

Libraries that are not yet fully automated may have local holdings that are not in the catalog.  Those items should be added, where appropriate, to the numbers in the datasheet.

Other items of note:

  • Count YA items as Adult
  • Count Magazines by Volume (not by issue)
    • Most magazines publish 1 volume per year
    • 12 issues of a monthly magazine count as 1 volume

Numbers for the following questions are supplied by 4CLS:

  • 2.13 Electronic Books -   9,852

    • Research Center Subscribers - 11
    • Other Libraries - 4
  • 2.17 Audio - Downloadable Units - 6,300 (Hoopla subscribers add your Hoopla audio use)
  • 2.18 Video - Downloadable Units - Hoopla subscribers count video use
  • 2.19 Other Electronic Materials - Count  Digital Magazine (Libby) usage - (see file in box to the right) 
    • Instead of reporting the 5000 magazine titles we have access to through Libby, report the usage of those materials as both the holdings (in 2.9) and the usage (in 4.12)
