The library is named after the industrialist George F. Johnson who founded the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company. His home became the George F. Johnson Memorial Library three years after his passing in 1951. The current library (built in 1967) is located on George F.’s homestead. The library is in the heart of the village of Endicott. Our children's section is renowned, as well as a Tech Center that holds regular classes and one-on-one tech assistance. We offer services for children, teens and adults of all ages.
Nearby you can go to local parks with carousels, eat at Italian restaurants, take in a movie at the Cinema Saver, or enjoy a theatrical show at the Cider Mill or EPAC (Endicott Performing Arts Center).
