Our library has a photographic display of past & present local authors whose portraits are superimposed over selections of their written works which mention “Cherry Valley” in the text.
Also, on display is a small collection of art by local visual artists whose works are based on selections of poetry written by Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School students.
Oddities at the library: a piece of wood from a tree George Washington supposedly sat under when he came to Cherry Valley; a tobacco tin containing a note dated 1924 that was found inside an exterior brick wall we broke through during a 2020 construction project.
Our library building is 100 years old this year (2023).
