Director Evaluation

Evaluating the performance of a library director is an important responsibility of the Library Board.

Best practice is to undergo an annual review of the director's performance on goals that have been agreed upon in advance.  Those goals should also be related to the library's long range plan.

Board Self-Evaluation

As part of the evaluation process, Boards should spend some time evaluating their own performance,  Doing so can identify issues that may be hampering a board's efforts.
